The clinic

What to expect when you arrive

So you recognise the place, know where to park and know what the inside looks like before you walk in.

Consent note: no photograph on this site shows an identifiable patient. If a patient ever appears in a clinic photograph, written consent is obtained first and can be withdrawn at any time.

Before you come

Make the consultation count

Ten minutes of preparation turns a consultation into a decision.

Bring the films

Actual X-ray and MRI films or CDs — not just the typed report. Old scans matter as much as new ones for showing progression.

List your medicines

Include blood thinners, steroids, diabetes and blood pressure medication, and any supplements or ayurvedic preparations.

Wear loose clothing

Shorts or loose trousers so the knee and hip can be examined properly. Gait is assessed by watching you walk.

Write your questions

People forget half of what they meant to ask. A written list guarantees you leave with your actual doubts answered.

Out-of-town patients

Teleconsultation & second opinions

If you live outside the Tricity, a video consultation can settle most questions before you travel. Send your reports on WhatsApp at least a day in advance so they can be reviewed properly rather than read out on the call.

  • Reports reviewed before the call, not during it
  • Written summary of the plan sent afterwards
  • Surgery and rehabilitation compressed into a single trip where safe
  • Local physiotherapy protocol shared with your therapist at home
A video consultation cannot replace a physical examination. Where the diagnosis depends on examining the joint, you will be told plainly that an in-person visit is necessary.
Common questions

About appointments

Walk-ins are accommodated when possible, but appointments are prioritised and mean far less waiting. On operating days, walk-in waits can be long.
Plan for 20–30 minutes. Longer if imaging needs to be done on the same visit.
Yes — digital X-rays are available on site and can usually be taken and reviewed within the same visit. MRI is arranged at a partner centre nearby.
Surgery is performed at Sohana Hospital, Mohali, where most major insurers and TPAs are accepted, including cashless where your policy allows. The desk will help with pre-authorisation paperwork.
Call the same desk number. Fever, increasing pain, wound discharge, calf swelling or sudden breathlessness after surgery should be reported immediately, not at the next scheduled visit.
